Giddeus, a Land of Opportunity

Giddeus, when people think of this place, do they think of a multitude of Gil-Gathering Goodies? Or just a bunch of Yagudos and memories of horrid key hunting? While over-looked by many, Giddeus is actually a nice spot for farming! Another good thing that the monsters are of low level and really don't pose a threat to the novice adventurer!

The main goal is Harvesting. Not one of the biggest used of the various gathering methods, harvesting can be quite profitable! The sicles are also cheap and hardly break! I farmed around 160k gil only going through about a stack of them! Sicles can be bought for around 300 gil apiece at Ensata's Catalyst Shop, located in Windurst Waters.

Here is a very useful map which shows the spawn points for Harvesting! Its a very ideal place for those of the lower level, as no harvest points spawn in the higher tier yagudo area. Now for what items you can get through harvesting.

1. Red Moko Grass - This is the most important item that can be farmed. The Harvest rate according to wiki is rated as 'Rare' but after gathering a few stacks of it, I think its more of 'uncommon'. These babies sell for about 28-30k a stack in windurst and jeuno! Selling can take sometime in Jeuno so I'd suggest trying Windurst first.

2. Fresh Mugwort - Now this is rated as 'Very Rare' and for a good reason, you won't see too many of these drop. But when they do, KEEP THEM! Save up a stack of these babies and they go for around 90k a stack, definetly very nice!

3. Saruta Cotton - A fairly common drop, also a decent selling price of around 10k per stack. Definetly a keeper.

4. Flax flower - These are another fairly common harvest, only going for around 4k a stack though.

Anything else really isn't worth keeping, but some stacks of various things make be worth 3-4k, so its based on your own personal preference and inventory space.

Other things to watch out for:

Digger Wasps- These guys drop beehive chips which sell for around 9-10k a stack and they have a pretty good droprate!
Make sure to kill them whenever you see one as it adds up quite nicely. Their honey isn't too bad either, selling for around 5k a stack.

Yagudo NMs - Not something I'd personally put my energy in, but always nice to keep an eye out for them. They drop various items worth various amounts of gil, so if you see one make sure to kill it!

Thats about it for the land of Giddeus! This is an ideal spot for the low level monsters and the relaxed farming that goes on here. Its definetly worth looking into! Well, until next time!
